Plenty of kids on the team from MD. Bucknell was a solid team. Have to establish the running game early. Go, Foxes!

Remember five months ago, when I said about NOT getting steamrolled by beatable teams?
THIS was the crap I was talking about! I know the program lost as many seniors in 2013-14, but this was bloody pathetic.
Almost...Valpo pathetic, ugh.

sure looking like that one year was an absolute fluke Not a fluke, it just took 3 years to build that team. AND they shouldn't have lost to Bucknell or San Diego been 10 - 1 and played in the FCS playoffs. Spilled milk . . . That said, we're in for A LONG season. That is probably Georgetown's only win of the season. Next week we play Sacred Heart who is very strong, as is most of the PFL. We'll be lucky to be 3-8. I hope I'm wrong but it's not looking good.

What are the issues? Seems that the the O line is one.

The rules of football are constant, control the line of scrimmage, control the game. O line is the biggest issue. Marist needs the big uglys, I mean dudes who want and are physically able to own their opponents. Why we're not taking JUCO OLs is beyond me.

Pretty brutal loss. Looks like Mike White is the QB of the present. Cut from the same cloth as Looney. Yeah, its about $$. Bucknell, G'town and Sacred Heart all have larger FB budgets than Marist and its showing.

Let's hope not. I think White is the guy. RS F, tough kid, and played well after throwing the pick 6. Remember Looney had bad games as a Soph, but was really ready as a JR and SR.

Bucknell, G'town and Sacred Heart all have larger FB budgets than Marist and its showing. Issue is what will the new Marist President think of FB. Murray was/is a fan and supporter. Yes, he could/should have spent more on FB, maybe if he had been willing we'd be in the Patriot League, as full member. Who knows. My concern is on the recruiting side. The staff has a very tough job, competing against scholly programs; etc. But for what Marist can offer a kid, I don't understand why we haven't hit Nassau CC or Lackawanna CC for some higher level OL. I think the staff is underselling the Marist experience. Why should a decent OL (or any decent player) go to University of Maryland, ride the bench for 3 years when they could be playing a Freshman, get a "package" that is reasonable and get a better education. Fede is the example . . . I don't get it.

Let me say I love our football program and am glad we have one.
Now with that being said I do not understand what we are trying to do with the program.
It seems we have no plan in place to build a winner. How many seasons have we had like last season? How many like two seasons ago? Clearly one is the norm and one is the exception. I do not see a plan. What changes are being implemented to reverse the norm?
