The Adidas National Championships are down in Atlanta this week so I took a long lunch break to go see some future Foxes and let me tell you the future looks bright!!!!
First game i watched was Molly Smith and the MN Metro Stars - unfortunately they lost but it wasn't because of Molly who played a great game, her teams guard play just wasn't there. Anyway Molly 3-5 from 3pt land and didn't miss until late in the game when she was probably tired as she played almost entire game. She also shot 2-4 inside the arc with 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 3 steals - so 13pts altogether (they only play 16 min halves) - We know coach loves Defense and she played it - the people she guarded only had 2 points and she spent much of the time guarding a 6'4"-6'5" girl in the middle.
She is fairly quick and was able to get down the court on fast breaks very quickly, had a great crossover dribble and drive but missed the layup on one play. She is every bit 6'2" or taller.
The Hand's play on a fantastic team which makes it harder to truly see what we have - they play alongside Natalie Chou and believe me EVERYTHING runs through and around her. espn.go.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/185399/natalie-chou and when she isn't getting the ball aahilyah jackson is getting it espn.go.com/high-school/girls-basketball/recruiting/player/_/id/185612/aahliyah-jackson
Its like the who's who in women's basketball - if coach could just recruit entire team we might be in Sweet 16 next year!!!!

The one not listed are trying our for Jr Olympic teams, State MVPs etc.....
Anyway - Rebekah got the start missed her first 3 - 3 attempts but came back with two strong drives to the basket for layups (she wasn't missing 3s by much), she also had 3 rbs, 1 steal, and 2 assist in first half (i left after 1 get back to work), Hannah came in with about 6 min left in half and had 3 rebounds and 1 steal no shots. But again neither of the Hand twins gave up a point in 1st half, the other team had a break away and Hannah hustled back and poked the ball out of bounds to prevent layup, once the girl who Hannah was guarding gave up the ball she had a hell of time getting it back Hannah did a great job in denying her the ball back. Rebekah was not much different guarded the 3 and crashed boards.
You watch these players separately and yet you can see how they will each compliment each other when on same court at same time.
Also none of them are selfish - on a fast break molly could have forced a layup but made that one extra pass that resulted in easier layup.
