We don't talk about other sports recruits much but this caught my eye - back to back no hitters is not an easy thing
Hauppauge's Nick Fanti threw his 2nd straight no-hitter in a 6-0 win over Huntington. The Marist-bound lefty K'd 16 and allowed one walk.

The Marist-bound lefty K'd 16 and allowed one walk. Looks like a nice pickup for the program. Interesting game recap from last month when Marist split a double header with Iona. Evidently the apple didn't fall far from the tree. Iona starter Mariano Rivera had a remarkable day on the mound. He pitched a complete game allowing only one hit, while striking out 11 Marist batters. The Gaels picked up runs in the first and third inning to win the game with a final score of 2-0.

Baseball was picked for something like last place. Based on that just making the top 6 was an overachievement. It's all gravy now. Good luck to them.

I guess i do not know much about our team because we left a guy in the game who gave up 5 walks, hit batter, and 5 runs - and 6 hits

Great for the program, and obviously even better for the kid. Having that low of an era in the Pacific coast league is a very difficult thing to do. Should really aid future recruiting.

McCarthy got a one-out-win last night. Looks like they gave him the ball with the game on the line and he came through. Good stuff.
