Just wanted to offer my congratulations to the men's and women's cross country teams. Both finished second in the MAAC championships. Iona won both the men and women(the Iona men are ranked 11th in the country). Sophomore Addie DiFransesco finished second overall on the women's side. Pete Colaizzo has done a tremendous job with this program in the past 18 years. Of course, I may be biased because he's a former teammate of mine when I ran X-C about a hundred years ago, but he continues to produce a winning and competitive team every year. This year, he placed eight runners on the all MAAC team(5 men, 3 women). They run in the Northeast Regionals in Boston November 14th. Last year, the men had their best ever finish at 10th so hopefully they can build on tat this year. Good luck!!

I believe the Marist tennis team did well this year too. Tim Smith is a great local coach who seems to have been around this area forever.

The women's soccer team beat SPC and Siena in the MAAC Tournament this weekend - they're down at Disney World, playing Niagara tomorrow in the semis.

Bottomline is that Marist has been fielding competitive teams in all sports. It's a testament to the AD, the entire AD staff and the school administration.
