Every year. 0-10 vs San Diego.
It's getting harder and harder to find new ways to lose to those guys.
Give this staff credit they are very creative and always find new ways to blow games.

My son is a junior in the Marist Band. After the game, he said this to me: "Is this what I give my Thursday nights and Saturdays up for?". And you know what? I have to agree with him. I know we shouldn't expect the same results as last season, but AD Murray needs light one hell of blaze under Parady's seat or he'll be walking home from Valpo next week. The ol' patience well has run dry and we need to fill it with wins.

Is it me, or have there been quite a few posts deleted in this thread?

Your son should feel free to quit the band if he doesn't see what an experience he is getting working under the leadership of Art and all the other great things he is able to accomplish as a band member at Marist.

All of last night, I just played that same scene in my head. That USD receiver could have set up a lawnchair in the endzone with an ice cold soda in one hand and still would've caught the ball with the other. Ugh, next week at Valparaiso, there's no excuse not to stop the bleeding.
BTW FoxDad, your kid should know how lucky he is to have Art as a band director. Just wait till basketball season and then the MAAC tourney. He'll quickly change his tune, so to speak.

I agree with Yankee to a point. Your son is playing in the band because of his love of music and I hope recognizes the leadership provided by Art. That said, I fully understand you and your son's frustration. As a side note - I was at the Gtown game and the entire experience with fantastic, less our play on the field. The stadium, the crowd (drenched but loud) and the band (it's halftime performance was on par with any major FBS band). Win or lose, just adding better play from the team (mainly offense) and I'd be less disappointed. We long time FB fans have had years of heartbreaks and Saturday adds to the list, and the frustration. AND the culprit IMHO is the missed extra point!!!! An avoidable mistake. At 17 - 13 the entire defense posture changes, rather than defending against field position for a game tying field goal, you are defending against a TD. Big difference. Adding a timeout (which the team had) to rest and reset the defense was a clear coaching mistake. At 0 - 5, the season is a huge disappointment. Anything less than a convincing win against Valpo (an improved FB team) will not be acceptable.
