Marist volleyball is 5-2 to begin the season, a great start for one of our historically least successful programs. The new coach they hired a couple years ago really seems to be turning things around.
I believe in MAAC volleyball that Fairfield has finished first each of the last four years and lost in the tournament finals to Siena every time. Ouch. Another fun fact is that at 5-2, Niagara has nearly equaled last year's win total (6-23). NU may end up the most improved team in the nation record-wise.

not looking good, down 2-0 in sets and NU leads the third one 22-21 (25 points to win, must win by 2).

All the sets were close but Niagara was just a little better; 3-0 Purps the final. Still a great season for the Foxes.
