They will win the women's cup in an all-time laugher. Probably have 5 more MAAC titles coming in their 7 remaining sports.
Men could go a number of different ways. Iona might knock them off.

Does TM care about women’s sports at all? Does Marist?

If you read various threads in this site - you will learn that they do not at all

Does TM care about women’s sports at all? Does Marist? Actually many complain he cares too much about other sports. Many think his main focus should be on men's basketball. I don't agree, but it's been stated here often

I want TM gone, but let's not do this I don't recall anyone, let alone "most here", as having said that about Tim Murray - certainly not in the last half decade or so. Anyone who has first or even second hand knowledge of Tim's thinking on this subject knows he stopped obsessing over the Commissioner's Cup when Monmouth was running the show in that regard. Even now that Monmouth has moved on, he is not Cup focused anymore. Not sure he's really focused on anything, tbh. More coasting towards retirement.

My comment was more based on the comment about Marist. As a whole athletics is a second thought. We do enough to have teams

agree with Nomar of course, but I just wish I knew WHY Marist's upper administration and trustees don't care about athletics.
As long as you're not cheating or covering up violence/abuse like some big time universities do - which obviously I would never condone from Marist - why not invest? Why don't you want to win games and get on TV? Am I missing something?

The school does too well everywhere else. Enrollment increases every year. DJM did a great job spinning Marist into a college campus that resembles a resort, with the ever-increasing tuition prices to boot.
With that, there's no need to spend money on athletics to try and increase enrollment. It's there for something for those kids to do and that's it.
The school really belongs in D3. Community fans won't like to hear that, but that's their attitude and it's probably not changing anytime soon. Blame TM all you want, but he gets his marching orders from the trustees and the president.

I don’t think enrollment being up justifies shitty athletic programs.
They can drop the acceptance standards and increase enrollment if that is the goal.

FF and Marist are essentially equally selective in admissions. IMO an invite to the PL would have invigorated the athletics program. That move would have been TM’s legacy and given him the justification required to win some budget wars. The affiliation with higher end academic institutions surely would have had wide appeal among members of the Marist community regardless of their individual interest in sports.

Wouldn’t a PL invite be more likely with successful sports?
