Did Siena distribute the wrong scouting report or something? It's Marist you dare them to make open threes, not Iona, you dummies. Gaels scored 29 in the 1st quarter on 6-6 from deep.

13-17 from three for the game for Iona. 76% overall from the field in the rout of the Saints. Crazy good doings for the team from New Rochelle

7 point lead with 42 seconds to go not enough for the Peacocks, as they fall in double overtime 89-80.
Record now 0-27 for the season

The game I care most about is Canisius Vs Mount St. Mary's. If Canisius wins that could put us in a tie, and the tie-break will go to Canisius. If Marist comes through and beats Rider then we are almost sure to hold 7th place, but if we lose both of our remaining games then we are exposed to a tie with Canisius. If we tie with Mount, then we win the tiebreaker and keep 7th.
Seventh place is an easier path to the championship game than 8th. We can beat Rider if we play well, then in the next round I think we can beak Niagara again. Its less likely we can beat Iona. If we play well against them Thursday, there is always hope for a fitting way to bookend the career of a great Coach. Go Marist! Thank you Coach Giorgis!

You really think it matters what “path” we take ? We are not ready for any of them

I genuinely think we can make a run. If Zar and Kiara go off any given game, we can win. If someone else makes Iona stumble, we can beat any team on an off day. CHANGE MY MIND.

Sure Marist can win a PIG round game. They have beaten those teams. The problem for Marist (and everyone else counting on an out-of-the-blue run) is Iona, Quinny, Niagara, Siena, and to a lesser extent, FF, have all improved as the season progressed. The rest haven’t. At least in a material way. Just trust your eyes. Compare the scores of our first set of games against 4 of the top 5 vs the rematches. Ouch!

IF Maeve was healthy I could maybe see it, BIG maybe. Yes Zar and Kiara can go off on a given game, but 4 in 6 day span? I doubt it. We have no consistent three point shooter and no post presence. I don't see it at all. I hope they can with the pig game and then play a solid game vs Niagara or Quinny but anything beyond that would SHOCK ME

Wake got walloped by Louisville today but the FSU win gets them to .500 overall and WNIT eligibility.

Iona losing at the half 16-18. The announcers would say we are missing a defensive master class.
