the new tea is Bryant, Quinnipiac, Fairfield and either LIU or CCSU to the A-East. The MAAC is in big trouble and may have to talk NEC merger...this would make Siena and Iona vomit. poster on maac board today did have a bit of a cryptic post about future moves about to happen. Some poster from Maine. He's been in this thread too, MaineJeff. I see his name on a bunch of boards like Any Given Saturday, CSNBBS, the America East forum (naturally), I think BigPurpleFans (UAlbany board) as well.

The CAA added a 13th member with North Carolina A&T. Seems natural they'll try for at least one more

Bryant officially announced to America East today. Football to Big South.
I think the MAAC will end up taking in Bryant m/w golf, m/w tennis and women's rowing - sports not sponsored by A-East.
With the Bulldogs off the table as a full MAAC expansion candidate, Mount St. Mary's Md. and Wagner are at the head of the line.

The NE10 to NEC pipeline continues with Stonehill College (North Easton, Mass.) announcing its move to D1 this summer.

Screw realigning conferences. Just realign the whole freaking division. Getting to the point where the P5’s are breaking down into the haves and have-nots. It’s like legalizing vice you can’t deal with any other way, like Nevada. LOL. SI interview with ND AD

Doesn't really help the MAAC at all, except I guess extra cushion for when another school leaves. Now the extra St. Peter's NCAA units get split by 11 schools instead of 10.

Toldja it was gonna be The Mount and never Hofstra or Northeastern or whatever big school some people were fantasizing about. The MAAC presidents are not going to add schools that don't look like existing MAAC schools. That's what a conference is.

Definitely must make Tim Murray a little bitter that he helped get Marist into the MAAC way back when, and the MAAC since then has just added NEC teams.

Ensor is a F-ing failure.
MAAC is a sad, sad shitty conference.
Please, please, someone get us into PL ASAP. I implore anyone in Marist leadership to get us to PL now!
Marist spend some Fing money on athletics make it happen. Please!
