Really looks like a great get by Erin and the kind of piece you can start to build around.
You think of when we started to rebuild with the Hand twins and you have to wonder in todays world would we have kept the twins for four year (their character tells me yes) - again I am very very curious to see what happens to the current Fairfield team and coach if the trajectory stays same this season

The question is would the Hands have chosen Marist today. By all accounts they are terrific people but schools with NIL would have had a huge advantage over Marist given they were so highly recruited.
FF has already gotten a vote in the AP poll only 1-1/3 seasons into CT-D’s head coaching career. They have a legit shot to run the table in the MAAC and get a 10/11/12 seed in the NCAA tournament. I don’t think the question is will the players transfer. I think the questions are how many does she take with her and will the next college take her husband as a package deal as Fairfield did.

On a more hopeful note some recent Chloe Escanillas highlights
She has upped her scoring average from 7.2 last season to 11.4 so far this season. Impressed by her court vision and passing. On pace to double her assist total from last season.

Combining thoughts here and from what Nomar posted in the Manhattan game thread. One scenario, maybe best case and unrealistic, is that Fisher and Shazer stay and CE/DW are straight replacements for Donnelly and Fox. You significantly increase your guard depth with no frontcourt loss. If they don't stay, you look for 2 portal players. If other underclassmen transfer - more options from the portal.

I get it. Marist can be 8-22 with them and 8-22 without them. But I don’t think that Marist has changed its stripes. If the Fisher and Shazer want to run it back once more I believe they will be welcomed. If the AD felt the program needed to be blown up he would have conducted a national coaching search.
Note: I don’t think Nomar is saying blow it up. Just find ways to avoid kicking the can on roster re-construction down the road.

I would be at Simone Pelish’s house every day with the news that the Miami coach just retired. I heard she was very emotional about it. I wonder if she could be back in play.
