Other offers include St. Bonnaventure, Stetson, N. Kentucky, Cornell, E. Michigan, E. Kentucky, Niagara, This player is impressive. Based on what I’ve read her play checks a lot of the boxes Marist has traditionally looked for in a 1/2. Plus she can fill it up when necessary (31 points in the state semifinal games and will break her schools scoring record a just few games into her senior year), and plays at a highest level school classification. Her sister and a cousin both start for her high school team.

It seems that we are offering a lot o players for 2024 with only one scholarship left. What is the game plan?

They know that not everyone is going to be returning.

Bigred - no one knows. On paper it is between 1-4 scholarships. We have no idea if Zaria, Fisher, or Donnelly come back after graduation.
Sure you can give them an ultimatum right now… but why would you do that to arguably 2 best players on team.
And we should offer a lot of kids - Pelish and others who have had offers for long time have not committed yet.
So you wait for 1st commitment and go from there. I still got to believe that the 14th scholarship is there is needed for a year.

I concede we don’t know 2% of what is really going on with recruiting. However, it’s Interesting to me that the senior the board thinks is not coming back (Fox) is a forward but the last two offers are guards and there are no longer any forwards on the publicly available offers list. LOL.

Heck right now you really have only 2 true PG - rest are combos - in Piddock and Fisher - you need PGs either way

2023
1's Fisher, Piddock 2's - Julia Corsentino, Lexie Tarul 2/3's - Morgan Tompkins 3 - Catie Cunningham 3/4 - Ciara Croker, Kate Robbins 4 - Zaria Shazer 4/5 - Erin Fox 5 - Morgan Lee, Maeve Donnelly, McKenna Rife

I would like to point out, simply in service of my situational OCD, the following:
Tompkins not Thompkins
Croker not Crocker
Zaria Shazer dropped the Demember from her name after her freshman year

I was gonna post something like that yesterday - she is being courted by a lot of folks ….
Which is what we want - we all get upset when a player has only offers from Marist and St Andrew’s School for the blind
