Who do you think the other two guys are because I am thinking Price and Hall for sure but with Morton coming I would do the same if I where these guys. Its hard to go from playing to fighting for your minutes.

A VERY trusted source told me today that it is Watson Prescott and Rusin and possibly a 4th who he would not name... Again just a source so confirmation is needed

If Prescott goes that would hurt...wonder if/who the fourth is?
Does anyone know if Watson or Carter/Alexis for that matter decided to transfer to D-I would they lose a year of eligibility allowing them only three basketball playing seasons since they red shirted?
I thought you could only play 4 years in a 5 year span.

Ok everyone here knows my feelings toward coach but even I don't believe this post and my sources are probably alot higher up on the totem pole. I've talked many involved and as of last weekend there was no talk about anyone vacating the program. Got to believe that the person I was with would have heard something.
Now that being said "if" something has changed the only one that makes sense on that list is Watson. He is far from home and I am guessing that Marist and DI basketball isn't everything he was hoping for. He has already sat out a year so another here in the states doesn't make much sense.
As far as the other 3 - "if" that was also the case and 4 current players went to leave - they would have no choice but to re-look at keeping Martin on for next year.

This is bad news. It does not matter who is leaving. Just the fact that a few guys are planning to give up a scholarship to get away from Marist is not a good thing at all. I can understand Hall, he probably would be riding the pines if he stays. But leave with just one year of eligibility left? My guess is he would not be going to a D1 program. Price as was pointed out will likely be fighting for PT next season and he's 3000 miles form home. So I understand that one too. I think we were all counting on Watson improving and making us stronger in the front court. This loss will hurt. Once again here is a guy who is thousands of miles from home. Options for Menelik are likely to give up American D1 hoops or try to walk on somewhere. He can't be cherished by all that many college coaches with his limited exposure and lack of statistics. This may not be a very popular statement but if Rusin leaves, sorry it did not work out young man and don't let the door hit you in the ass. "Don't go away mad just go away." This is a quote some may want to save for next year around this time for you know who!
If Prescott leaves then Martin should be right behind him. To lose the best player on the team will set this team back further than if there were a change at the head coach position.
So who's left? Morton Thomas Bowie Prinsloo Alexis Kemp Carter
UH OH we're in deeper trouble than anyone thought.
Maybe the Murrays should re-think their position on the head coach if these rumors are true.

Also "if" 3/4 players leave Morton & Thomas would probably rethink their commitments...no? What would you do if that many jumped ship before you even got there?
If Martin goes so does Morton - I believe that was a friend/relatives response - if that many leave anyone see this team getting to 10 wins? So then Martin would be gone next year and there goes another transfer in Morton - i would rather not be teased with one year of Morton only to lose him next.

So who's left? Morton Thomas Bowie Prinsloo Alexis Kemp Carter If Prescott stays then with the group above and Sam we have a pretty good nucleus. Still need a 4 or two especially if Menelik is a goner. I'll miss Devon's flashes of goodness (not greatness) but will not miss his lapses of concentration. Rusin & Hall wont be missed by this Red Fox fan one bit.

I said this before. The only way a player leaves Marist to play D-1 is if they have stayed in touch with another college coach who showed interest when the player was in HS. That college coach must have an open scholarship and really want the Marist player. The Marist player must be desirable too. What D1 coach would want Hall, Rusin, Watson? Their body of work is certainly lacking. None of these guys are Jay Gavin. Remember Price landed in our laps late in the recruiting season. That tells me either he was not very highly recruited or could not make up his mind. In either case I doubt he is jumping to another program either. I can understand another coach coveting Prescott but all the circumstances must fit.
Otherwise anyone who is looking to transfer is plain and simple looking to get away from Marist or Poughkeepsie or Martin or ALL OF THE ABOVE!

As a player how would you feel if you leave a team and the next season the team goes to the big dance that would suck.
