The ESPNU senior night against Manhattan a couple years ago was probably peak student turnout in the last few (many?) years

This isn’t Duke heck they aren’t even Iona of last year - they are a .500 team …. So I guess I don’t know what a GOOD team is anymore, I just don’t get what people think this team is. Outside of Iona - they have best NO ONE they beat the bottom of the barrel in DI 4-4 (3 road losses, including number 1 and 2)in conference with 2 freshman starting guards. Freshman tend to be much better towards end of season. Imagine if Collins and pascarelli are at top of game in maac tourney. There are some really good reasons to be positive if you try to see them. Daughtry coming on. We do need Brickner back to form though. Let's focus on shaming Marist students. They need to come to games. I enjoyed last year’s tournament, and the team came together, but they had dream matchups against opponents. They had a promising start this year, but Dunne holds these guys back, and there won’t be a tourney run this year. You can’t bottle that twice. No one wants to play this style of basketball.

She would go when I came; otherwise, as she said: they suck. They went to the finals; started out well, now, the same stuff. I think the players want to play a different game than their coach. Why doesn’t anyone improve under Dunne?

Compared to all of the last 15 seasons, this season is a tremendous success. A young talented team that is competitive and fun to watch. When did Marist ever have more potential? Even our good teams were not as deep as this one.
Are they underperforming? Yes, I think the record should be better. But, The arrow is pointing up. Dunne needs some credit for this.

Ok, if you know they won't have a run, I can't argue against crystal ball.

Why doesn’t anyone improve under Dunne? Dunne gets outcoached at times. Paulus outgameplanned him today. But if you have been following Marist mens basketball for last 2 and a half decades, he has this program on much better track. It's like we forget we hadnt been in conference tourney final since Smits was here in the 80's. Ofcourse we want better, but let's agree we are much more competitive and are now a threat.

Yankee you don’t care … as long as they play the game … losing doesn’t bother you…. Kudos to trying here is your trophy When they don't play hard, I call it out, check the quinny game. They played their guts out tonight, got beat.

Every coach gets out-coached from time to time. It’s the nature of competition. I never blame the officiating for a loss it was the turnovers late that sealed their fate. But 21 fouls to 10 resulting in a 22 foul shot discrepancy is home cooking at its best.

I thought it was brilliant to keep going down low instead of taking 3's like they often do supposedly. Teams that go down low, drive always get mote calls. Teams may copy this, which puts Allen at foul trouble risk and attacks our weakest part of D. Up to Dunne to be ready for that in future

Actually I don’t think that Niagara did a great job with attendance at this game. Especially since it was known for a couple of weeks that it was going to be on the “U”. Tonight - 1687. Last Sunday vs Siena at 2pm - 1,886. Lousy Siena team on a playoff football Sunday.

The ESPNU senior night against Manhattan a couple years ago was probably peak student turnout in the last few (many?) years Including tonight's game, Niagara averages 997 fans at their home games this year. It was 80s night, it was on the U and Thurman Thomas was giving out autographs (an all-time Buffalo Bills great for you young people on the board).

Very exciting and hard fought game last night. The mistakes down toward the end killed us. I look forward to us playing them again. Tough beat and we are going to have to bounce back quicly here. Can't have any hang over from this game or will get thumped.

It was a “hard fought” loss …. It was still a f-ing loss. Stop defending losing
If they lose to the #2 seed in NCAA tournament by 3 then I’ll agree it was a “hard fought” loss but not against a .500 MAAC team
