Your Marist Red Foxes +3.5 (8-6/3-2) are back in action on the road as they travel to Mount Saint Mary's for a match-up with the Mountaineers, (6-10/2-3). Marist currently sits in 4th in a bunched up MAAC standings while The Mount is 7th one game behind. The Mountaineers have lost their last two game on the road to league leading St. Peter's and mid-pack Iona. The Mount is tough at home logging their two league wins by pummeling Siena then edging Canisius in a nip and tuck contest. One question for Marist fans is will either Brickner and/or Price be available for Dunne in this one. If not, this will be tough task. The Mount is led in scoring by the dynamic duo of 6'5" Senior Guard Dakota Leffew and super freshman 6'4" guard DeShayne Montgomery averaging 17.6 and 12.1 points respectively. Montgomery is shooting over 50% from the floor so far this season. Long trip and a tough place to play against a team that really needs a win. I look for Dunne to feed the ball to Max Allen to get the offense going, especially if the Foxes show up short handed again.
Go Red Foxes!

These are the games Marist needs to win if they are to be a MAAC contender.
No excuses, get it Dunne!

Mount st Mary's is very vulnerable to a good opposing center. Allen may feast here if he doesn't get some ticky tack fouls. MSM 2-0 at home in conference, but this a very winnable game. Do we have Price or Brickner? We can win without them, but depth helps, especially if tightly called game.

Sounds like no Brickner according to Dunne in the pregame.
Price should be good to go soon. No break, just swelling and that went down. Dunne hopes he can play "a few minutes Sunday".
Sulack is practicing, but taking it slow. Likely a couple weeks out if things go well.

One of the Marist broadcasters during the Rider game said Brickner told him he “thought” he would be ready to go the “end of next week”. That would mean for the Niagara game next weekend.

A motivated Mount team trying to make up for being blown out by Iona. Marist sleepwalking through the first half so far.

Good to see Harris drain that contested three. I count eight Marist points that were halfway down but popped out. Mount’s defense giving the Foxes some fits.

Can’t throw the ball into the ocean from the beach. On the verge of digging themselves a hole before the half.

Decent last two minutes to keep the Mount lead manageable. Couldn’t have played much worse overall. Looks like Leffew isn’t going to miss a shot tonight. Will be interesting it see what Dunne and Co. draw up to deal with the Mount’s switching defenses. Let’s do this.
