She needs to be given the time AND resources....... this is a different world than what she was mentored in, different values, different set of priorities for players.
No coach can come here and succeed if they have to play under existing constraints.....
1) gonna have to get some NIL program - no matter how small $5K-$10K - I promise you those "fast athletic" kids who can shoot aren't free
2) need to expand international recruiting - they can not get NIL $ so that is a plus
3) need to hit the portal - those kids can't transfer - BUT we need more Fishers then other transfers who are just barely serviceable right now.

So basically you are giving the coach a pass as long as AD stays same. Just say it. Plenty of coaches succeed under various conditions. She accepted job KNOWING how Marist operates. So those excuses will not be viable. I agree she needs a fair amount of time. But the conditions of the job were known.

She'll turn it around. Hopefully Fisher is back which I'm assuming she is. The season truly starts on Saturday.

Yeah I think a new AD who isn't a micro manager would help whoever is coaching, yeah we need NIL $ (if you want to get back to where we were and compete for recruits)....... I don't know what the F you are talking about when you say something like "she knew what she was getting into" .... she knows Marist, yeah she know the handicap she faces with an AD who dictates much of what she can and can't do. We are so early in this NIL and transfer after 1 year era that she (every coach) needs to adjust, but will Marist allow her to and support her in the necessary adjustments. What worked for Giorgis wont work for Erin as far as recruiting. You and your National search .... who out there is better suited to follow Giorgis? Unless you got a multi-millionaire HC who wants to go mid-major she is our best bet right now.

I just don't like the preemptive excuses. Every coach on every team has to deal with transfers/nil. Coach knew the way Marist runs the program. Let's hope she gets it done. Obviously way to early to judge either way. I did that a couple days ago and admitted it was wrong. No built in excuses, just get the job done.

Right now not having NIL is not a huge problem for WBB. They have ‘24 recruiting taken care of and, frankly, who on the current roster would you “pay” to stay? I think not having an NIL arrangement in place for ‘25 recruiting and portal options would be anti-competitive.
