Surviving on the road, found a way to close it out. Some things to fix, but have some good experience for the freshman on facing full court press in D1

Really unaccustomed to this balanced offense, 5 guys between 9 and 12 points.
2-0 on the road is all right by me.

Rough 2nd half but nice win on the road, for a young team. Played tough vs a team that scored 93 points vs LU. Collins is special. Allen is a solid center on the inside. Harris finally hit some big shots. A bit confused why Brickner isn't in the game at the end. Love the constant rotation, keeping guys fresh. This is a talented young team. 2-0!

Have not been 2-0 since 2001-02 They were 2-0 against Binghamton in the COVID season, but this is the first 2-0 against two different teams since 01-02. The last time they won their first two road games (regardless of where those fell in the schedule) appears to have been as part of an 8-0 start in 1998-99. That team went just 8-12 thereafter.

Daughtry had a quiet 11 points. Playing much more in control this year but keeping up the defensive intensity.
Harris off the bench was a great spark and hopefully a sign of things to come. Whoever ends up in the lineup, need a pair of Pascarelli/Harris/Farris/Sulack to be effective consistently

Noah Harris with some big shots! It's really good to see where Harris is now with this team. I think it's a much better position. A complimentary piece but a good one. Not the first or second option.

Need to see Brickner take to the basket more and no Harris with the ball at crunch time , defense in 1st half was outstanding.

Anyone see info on Farris at all? I didn't even see him on the bench

Kudos to Dunne for sticking with the newbies even after the lead got to 1 point with 2:57 left. He is not hesitant to show confidence in his young players. These guys are going to have to produce more and more as the season progress and it makes total sense to get them meaningful minutes over the Brickner, Price, etc. during the part of the season when a loss isn’t existential (at least for some of us). So. Allen (sophomore, 8 total career games) was already in the game at the 2:57 mark to take advantage of the mismatch Marist had in the post. The rest of the crunch time line up was some combination of Salton (sophomore), Daughtry (sophomore), Collins (freshman, 2nd career game) Pascarelli (freshman 2nd career game), Harris (junior). Cooley subbed in for Allen between UMBC free throws with 17 seconds left and Marist up by 4. Good stuff.
