At least the college's commercials during the stream have been updated to include kids that are currently there and not probably now in their mid 30s.

This is 100% on Tim Murray Heard he addressed the team... "... men, the scores don't matter. The losses are meaningless. You are loved and appreciated because you are under budget. "

There honestly might not be a worse non-PFL team in FCS than Georgetown and they beat Marist by a million points literally every year.
It must be so demoralizing to the staff and players to have 3 out of 11 games every single season that you cannot win no matter what you do.

Used to be slightly competitive and Foxes even picked up a couple wins from 2013-2017.
Wheels came off after that and keep heading in the wrong direction. But this is probably "preseason" too for the administration.

Does Georgetown offer scholarships? Or are they same as Marist with just some partial stuff?

Does Georgetown offer scholarships? Or are they same as Marist with just some partial stuff? They don't offer football scholarships but I'm sure their financial aid packages will take care of any recruit that can get accepted to Georgetown. The second part is what limits their ability to beat the HC, Colgate, Lehigh etc teams in the Patriot League.

Does Georgetown offer scholarships? Or are they same as Marist with just some partial stuff? Marist, Georgetown, all the Ivies give their players money to attend. Whether they call it athletic scholarships or financial aid doesn't seem important to me. Its all about the amount they are spending per player per program. Marist and most of the schools they play do not disclose their football budgets. Why?...Private schools answer to themselves and no one else...no need to do it. It is safe to believe that Georgetown outspends Marist in football by 50 to 100%. It is also safe to believe that Marist has one of the lowest football budgets in the FCS. This is entirely about money. It has been said many times before that Marist is just happy to field a team. I give Tim Murray a lot of shit but this falls on the board of trustees. They perceive that the cost of winning sports does not produce the desired ROI. This is why we have a HS basketball "arena", no track for the DI Track&Field program, a revolving door of coaches for most sports and a perpetual 4-7 football team.

All true and to add insult, they schedule army?!
Why?
Is there a plan to do something with this program?
The last 35 years says no.
Also I found a presentation listing all D1 football budgets from a few years ago.
I posted it somewhere on this board.

Yeah I will go on record as hoping this game gets bought out. The score will be so bad as to make Marist a national laughing stock on social media/internet, and there may even be a player safety aspect. There's testing yourself against a higher level of program and then there's having a humiliation fetish. I'm sure the players want to face Army but the juice ain't worth the squeeze.
