You look back at some of the depth and the talent that came off our benches - and wonder in today's world how many would have been recruited by bigger schools and transferred. Today it would be a moot question because there is no NIL collective benefiting Marist athletes by helping them take advantage of their “brand” to get them in the first place. Nobody here doesn’t think that access to NIL opportunities wasn’t a factor in Pelish signing on at University of Miami, right?. NIL at UM. Short video is worth the watch.

There is no more compete with bigger budget schools. You are what you spend.
That doesn’t bode well for Marist.
D3 in everything but name.

I read yesterday that the collectives telling donors their contributions towards NIL are tax free are probably breaking the law by doing so and that the $ givers are probably headed for problems with the IRS.
So I'm honestly starting to think this whole business model will die out before too much longer. In the long run Tim Murray may end up in the right on this one.
