After a DNP in the opener against the Lakers, Pat got 15 minutes off the bench last night vs Sacramento. He had 6 points and 4 rebounds plus a steal in 15 minutes, 2-3 from the floor, 1-1 from 3 and 1-2 from the line. Not bad at all.
Big guy has officially played professional basketball in an NBA uniform and if he gets released tomorrow that's still something 99.999 percent of humanity will never get to do.

“Watching more film, the more and more intrigued I am, especially in zone offense,” Butler said of Gardner. “He’s a big body, left-handed, unorthodox, can throw people off in that way. Great touch. Pick-and-pop guy. [With him], we use the same sets we run with Kevin Love. He’s been great.” www.miamiherald.com/sports/nba/miami-heat/article276978393.html

I thought Khalid Hart played in the FIBA world cup about 10 years ago.

Congrats to Pat! Looking forward to seeing what type of deal it is. I'm guessing maybe an Exhibit 10 through training camp.

Gardner got the start the last two games for Egypt. A bit of an inefficient 13 and 8 in a loss vs. Montenegro.
But put up 20 and 7 today vs Mexico for Egypt's first win. 4/7 from deep.

The YES network has a nice profile of Patrick on the show "Nets Homegrown: Bridge to Brooklyn". It is repeating several times in the next few days. It has about 10 minutes on Patrick, his basketball career and his family as part of a profile of the Long Island Nets, a G league team. Worth a look! This link describes the show...you'll have to look for the current episode for viewing. www.yesnetwork.com/shows/nets-homegrown

After wrapping up the G League, Gardner is in Egypt for Al Ahly as they compete in the Basketball Africa League (12-team tournament of each country's domestic league winner)
