Usually score 56, subtract Krick averaging 11, and today they score 45. That's just math, baby.
Throw it away, winnable home games with Rider and Canisius on tap.

Yea. The help wanted sign needs to get hung a.s.a.p. You can’t build with freshman and have competitive aspirations when your main competitors are getting high level transfers on a regular basis. Marist needs a center that can score and a D and 3 wing from the portal to build around Shazer and Fisher. IMO Doughty also needs to refill her staff spot with a proven recruiter. Should be lobbying TM to invest some the savings accrued when BG retires to allow her some flexibility when it comes to hiring the next assistant. Marist hasn’t landed an impact freshman in 3 years.

Yabut, Siena lost in double overtime to the Mount at Siena. Siena has 11 new players and 9 Freshman and they are in the hunt.

The best shooting % of any nonstarter who can return next year is McKenna Rife @ .333. How can you risk building around that level of performance if competing for a championship is your goal. It’s one thing if they were showing some promise. But I’m not seeing it.

Well, an up and down season, great team play one day, then two days later the wheels fall off.
You have to admit, when they loose a game they make a statement, Right?
-22 to Villanova, -29 to Green Bay, -49 to Columbia, -21 to Vermont, -21 to Iona, -28 to Quinnipiac
Looking at the other loses:
Penn, tough second quarter and Padilla scores 31 pts and a 4 point loss. Canisius, tough second quarter, only scored 8 points. Siena, tough second and third quarters, out scored by 17 Fairfield, wow! Brutal first half....13 points total.
So what does that mean....... absolutely nothing. It just gibberish, analytics and stats.
This team has played great, good, poor and awful, and other than Iona and Quinnipiac (props to them) its still a race in the middle of the pack.
Most of the games are very winnable, if the Team plays like a TEAM, roll in some "Bundies" under the net (by my count they missed 13 simple lay-ups or put backs against Quinnipiac last night) and make two or three, well four more shots from beyond the arc and play defense like we've seen them do, they can move up to a solid 5th and get a first round bye in Atlantic City.
Next year is next year, maybe not worry about it so much, what Erin can do, who she can recruit out of HS and from what parts of the country, who's available in the portal, what Tim will allow for scholarships (not going to change) and $ for an assistant.
The entire landscape of college basketball has changed with the free pass portal and what it means for Mid-Major Schools.
As the big name kids get recruited for "Big" schools and find themselves sitting on the bench, not liking a coach or finding themselves at a school that is just way to big for them, they are just a click away and without consequence getting to start basketball life in a Mid-Major the very next year.
No need to call out anyone on the team because you need to vent as an avid Marist Fan... I'm sure they know the Good, Bag and Ugly. (I myself have been guilty of posts that are less than desirable and I apologize).
No 18 or 19 year old kid needs to read some of the things posted, your not at their practices, in the classroom, in the dorm, on the bus or in the locker room to pass judgement on any of these young ladies.
All is not lost, keep positive!
