No surprise here, my guess is this was her plan all along - keep as much eligibility as possible to transfer with

so that's 14 scholarship players next year. Million dollar question is if someone else transfers, will Brian and Erin be allowed to replace that player, or will the school only allow 1 new 'ship if and only if 2 more players leave.

It's unfortunate how all this went down. She could have really helped the team this year. I wonder if it put a strain on Krick's relationship with her.

Very strange...she was at Mcann Center often throughout season but only time she was with the team was opening night ceremony.

she hung out with the team in the bleachers at the men's games all year...I think you're all overstating the drama.

no drama- just odd to me that she didn't support team from bench. Wasn't she was on roster at start of season?

In my opinion, she never lived up to her hype. Was always hurt and nothing special when trying to create her own shots. Solid player for sure and certainly would have helped this year, but losing Weimer was the major blow. Can’t replace 6’4” with her skill set…

Can’t replace 6’4” with her skill set… True that Weimer had 21 points and 13 rebounds going 7 for 7 from the field and 7 for 10 from the line leading her team to a playoff victory on Monday. Not to mention the 4 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block to go with that. Really miss that type of talent. However Barcello did lead the team in scoring last year (12.6 per game) even with the torn shoulder. Made all MAAC 3rd Team, not sure what more I could have asked for.

She was also playing really well in the Maac tourney as a freshman when we had everyone sick in the finals

I think that's a little outrageous saying Barcello didn't live up to the hype. She was one of the most consistent players for three years. When you needed her she always stepped up and ran the motion great. She just didn't need the ball in her hand to be effective. Plus last year I thought she had a pep in her step when she was healthy and was ready to be the leader. Barcello just isn't flashy and that's a Marist basketball player.

I wish Sarah well. She always played hard and through numerous injuries. Didn't end like we all wanted it too, but I'll still cheer her on if she has a good career somewhere else. Hopefully maybe a year off helps her health wise. Best wishes!

Look I have no idea what happened this year but I know I saw her play hurt throughout her career. I can't help but wish her the best. She gave up her body for marist multiple times.
