apnews.com/988f240013a646aa81f2e2d336dbe8f2The Tommies were booted from Division III's Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference starting next Fall. The last school to do a full 2-division jump was Grand Canyon University and they been doing incredible in men's and women's soccer. Look like UMN is finally going to have some recruiting battles in their own state.

Not sure anyone's been allowed to go all the way up from D3 before. UST is a great story though. Kicked out of their league for whipping too much ass.

The Tommies play very strong FB. It'll be interesting to see how the Foxes play against them.

I’m saying Marist will not have fall sports On FB I agree, 50/50 on MAAC sports. Unless something changes the school is opening for the fall. So outdoor sports like XC and Soccer might be given the OK. Question is what are the lawyers saying . . .

St. Thomas is still D3 this school year anyway, so of course we weren't going to find out until 2021.
(I don't think we should have fall sports either)

I would be shocked if we have fall sports. I think the next time we will see any college sports (except maybe power 5 football) is 2021

It's not the playing that is necessarily the issue, it's the travel that I think leads to bigger issues. Also, so schools plans basically wont allow for sports to happen. Like Yale's plan is to have Freshman, Sophomores, and Seniors one semester ans freshman, juniors, seniors the other. You can't make exceptions for the athletes. We'll see how college sports go

Colleges have to be able to prove they can contain infections on campus before there are sports imo. We're about to find out about that starting in 5 weeks or so. But the bad/good news is I think by the time we'll know for sure if they can, it'll be January/February and we'll have some type of vaccine available by then.
