I like the offers and highlights I see on Tice. Certainly a good recruit, would be nice to see if we could get him. I know some people here liked that Roy kid, seemed like a decent player, but wasn't high on my list of needs. It would have been nice to keep the recruiting momentum going but won't be disappointed to much there.

If I had to guess, they checked out Aaron Carter. A NY native and "the 6-foot-1, 185 pound guard has heard from UMass, UMBC, Northern Iowa, Iona, Louisiana Tech, Mount St. Mary, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech. Carter plans on visiting Siena, Bryant, and Fairleigh Dickinson this fall."

One of my favorite targets for this class. Loved his game when I watched his highlights.

WTF. Im sure this shit happens all the time with major school recruits but we don't need another setback. I really hope this is just ankle bitter bs.

Well that's odd. Looks like a trainer based out of DC.
Only recent player to come from that area that might not have had a great experience would've been Hines.
Hard to really blame that situation on Marist though.

Yeah that is a sour puss if ever i heard one, so vague. Was one of "his kids" not offered, did this even happen under the current regime? If I was Marist I'd be reaching out to this guy to shut him up. If he is close to the kid and wants to bad mouth us in person cant stop that - but to allow someone to publicly make an accusation in public forum without specifics or proof is BS

I so wanted to respond to that tweet - "Shane - don't let outsiders dictate your choices, listen to what the players who are actually AT Marist and play for Dunne say"

Hard to really blame that situation on Marist though. Perused Yarbrough's Twitter. Hines is mentioned as one of his training clients. You're probably spot on regarding Hines being Yarbrough's "personal look" with Marist. I agree 100% with Nomar. Speak with the current players.

It's always unfortunate when someone feels the need to respond like that to a kid trying to make a tough decision to begin with. Let them make their own choices and don't try to influence them because of a bad experience that happened to someone else. And just so this person knows, every school in the country has one kid who didn't enjoy their experience there. It doesn't mean that the school is bad in anyway or that the kid was bad. It's just life.
