I came across this piece in the Q student newspaper. You might recall many years ago when they were found by a judge to be non-compliant with Title IX over their scheme to cut volleyball and replace it with so-called competitive cheerleading. This was way back when they were in the NEC. Anyway, one of the final resolutions in the case, to serve as a sort of collective bargaining agreement, is they will increase scholarships in volleyball, women's cross country and women's track while upgrading facilities for women's golf. quchronicle.com/70458/news/quinnipiac-title-ix-class-action-lawsuit-settlement-updated/Quite frankly, Marist is getting left behind by the two newest MAAC members and if Robert Morris joins, I don't know how well we will stack up against them in the long run either. This is not Tim Murray's doing, this comes from above him, from a president and a board that just doesn't seem to care much about winning.
