Surprised that Megan Vetter wasn't chosen.

Take it further - who are YOUR starting 5 from each team - I voted team 2
Team 1 -
PG N Flores SG R. Hand SF M. Blais PF M. Magarity C. M. Latarza
6th woman - C. Yarde
Team 2 -
PG G. Vander Weide SG L. Ockenden SF S. Coffey PF R. Fitz C T. Jarosz
6th Woman - K. Danella (real hard between her and O'Connor)
Team 3 -
PG A. Kresge SG E. Allenspach SF F. Camara PF A. Gilmer C B. Gang
6th woman - J. Viani
Bold = Advantage at that position IMO

Team 2. But I'm biased, so my vote doesn't count.

Team 2. But I'm biased, so my vote doesn't count. Your daughter would make this team if it was a real TEAM. There are certain players who mean more than just their stats. Your daughter hit so many key shots, especially some key 3's, got some key rebounds. But most of all she did a great job in the role she was given. She could have played more minutes at other schools. But she accepted a key role on Marist and she was a huge part of her success. Not all good players can do that for a team.

foxrun - when Allenspach doesn't make a All-Marist team that is surprising. PG - VanderWeide, Dulin SG - R. Hand, Allenspach SF - F. Camara, M Blais PF - E. O'Conner, A. Gilmer C- R. Fitz, T. Jarosz Bench - L. Ockendin, C. Yarde Allenspach to me is the best player to play at Marist if you include all facets. There is NO player I trusted more in a big spot.

There was an assistant coach at one of the other MAAC schools, can't remember if it was Fairfield or Iona, who was asked why the 2007-2008 team was so dominant. (18-0 regular season, 21-0 including the MAAC tournament) His answer was that Marist had three players coming off the bench who all would have been starters on every one of the other 9 MAAC teams.
