Yeah but her hometown is in Wisconsin, can’t imagine she wants Poughkeepsie... also injury plagued We have cheese. Thought maybe someone who could fill Molly Smith's role of 1st big off the bench who can also shoot from the perimeter. But no. Cheese or no cheese. Murphy shot a dismal .083 from distance this year.

So while I believe we are all set with our 20-21 team - you just never know. Also with NY state being hit so hard by the Coronavirus - I do wonder if that will have a negative impact on recruiting. I can see parents saying to their kids "you are better off in other places than NY. So when I look for possible transfer targets I look for someone we might have tried to recruit out of HS, someone from NY/NJ/MA area, someone with at 3 years eligibility left, so Bigred no 6'7" kids from Oklahoma looking to come to Poughkeepsie. There are no intriguing grad xfers out there at this time IMO, and if we did bring in a xfer I would ideally like a Grad Transfer - help lesson the reliance on Freshman and Soph. Someone did post this name on another thread Olivia Owens 6'4" RS So Niskayona NY - she sat this year due to mono - so guessing she might be able to play right away AND have 3 years left. ----- Twin Towers? Hope they reach out to Owens. Very nice stroke from beyond the arc in some high school highlights. Huge frame. 6'4", Offered by Stanford too. let's go! Signing story in local paper

Danielle Sanderlin is portaling out of Canisius. I think she was their only talented returner.

Sydney Goodson, a 5'8 guard and HS teammate of the Hands, is grad transferring from Texas Tech; she began at Arizona State. Was averaging 8-6-3 but did not play after Feb 18.

One of the biggest obstacles this team will have coming into the 20-21 season is team chemistry (well outside of losing 5 great seniors).
In a normal year these women will bond and help get the incoming freshman comfortable in their new environment. The incoming freshman will not get the advantage of a summer session, meeting their team mates prior to, or getting a few touches in with new team mates this year.
There is a lot of bonding that goes on in the summer and that is going to be missing. I am hoping the current team is going out of their way to figure out how to welcome the freshman in. Zoom???
Big obstacle especially when we are talking about a class of 5

Siena picks up former national Top 60 recruit Isis Young (5'7 guard) for her last year, formerly at Florida and Syracuse without making much impact in either program. I guess some kids just don't pan out or get hurt, but she can probably do well at the MAAC level. Siena is seeking a waiver to get her immediately eligible.
EDIT: she was actually at Fordham last year but didn't see the court.
