It is such a shame we are in the offseason - and I hope everyone is taking care of themselves and being safe.
Got kids home, no sports on TV, work slowing so got time to talk Marist women's basketball.

Let's start with roster make up:
Sr. Allie Best Sr. Willow Duffell
Jr. Kendall Krick Jr. Sarah Barcello
So. Tranisha Kennedy So Samantha Bailey So Juliana Bonilla
Fr. Anabell Ellison Fr. Emma Wax Fr. Erin Fox Fr. Caitlin Weimar Fr. Zaria Demember-Shezer
That is 12 scholarships - NCAA allows 15 Marist allows 13. Coach needs to balance out classes so keeping 3 for the 2021-22 class is smart thing to do.
Now, if somewhere there is a Grad Xfer (something we have NEVER done) shows up at doorstep he can make a move.

Not a grad transfer, but would have 2 years left. Any shot we would be interested in diamond bragg. Didn't play much at Wisconsin, but former player of year in Pennsylvania. We could be a close, but not too close to home option? Just happened to look at transfer list and she jumped out as someone we could look into?

Guess Depth Chart at each position - so many kids will be listed in multiple places
Point Guard: A. Best T. Kennedy A. Ellison K. Krick
Shooting Guard:
K. Krick S. Barcello E. Wax A. Best J. Bonilla
Small Forward/Combo Guard?
S. Barcello Z. DeMember-Shazer E. Fox J. Bonilla E. Wax
Forward Z. DeMember-Shazer S. Bailey E. Fox
Center
W. Duffell C. Weimar S. Bailey
I'll probably change this 20x in next 7 months

Re: Nomar's depth chart, it looks good to me but I've thought of Ellison as more of a shooting guard, although clearly she can play point. Nice versatility.

We’re gonna have to take our rebounding and defense to the next level as I’m just not seeing much scoring. It will be very interesting to see how this group comes together for sure...

Well one would believe with 1000 rebounders - Fox, Weimar, Zaria, and Bailey on roster they should be able to figure out the boards. The game changer would be if those boards came on the offensive end with a put back or two

Hmm any chance Molly or Hannah use a RS/waiver to come back given how this season ended?

So while I believe we are all set with our 20-21 team - you just never know.
Also with NY state being hit so hard by the Coronavirus - I do wonder if that will have a negative impact on recruiting. I can see parents saying to their kids "you are better off in other places than NY.
So when I look for possible transfer targets I look for someone we might have tried to recruit out of HS, someone from NY/NJ/MA area, someone with at 3 years eligibility left, so Bigred no 6'7" kids from Oklahoma looking to come to Poughkeepsie.
There are no intriguing grad xfers out there at this time IMO, and if we did bring in a xfer I would ideally like a Grad Transfer - help lesson the reliance on Freshman and Soph.
Someone did post this name on another thread
Olivia Owens 6'4" RS So Niskayona NY - she sat this year due to mono - so guessing she might be able to play right away AND have 3 years left. ----- Twin Towers?

6'1 Green Bay forward Karly Murphy is in the portal as the rare grad transfer with 2 years of immediate eligibility. Averaged 8.3 ppg and 4.6 rpg. Didn't shoot well in the game at Marist (1-10 from the floor) but had 7 rebounds and 3 assists.
