Bye Sjoberg, another bad year in the books. Maybe next year we'll be ok.

Ugh. Not the results we wanted this year. But as a fan, I want to thank these players for playing their hearts out all year. Hard to see, but I see the avenue for future sustained success. Let's get some talent infusion and get at it next year.

I think every single end of game, close and late, have to have a stop, defensive possession ended in a game-winning or tying bucket for the other team. Either the plan or the execution was completely wrong, every single solitary last time. Honestly impressive.

I was referring to Cubbage and Saint Furcy staring off into the distance on the other side of the floor, guarding nothing and nobody while Hammond dished to wide open Solomon.

Second year in a row ..disappointment in the final seconds ..oh well ..its going to be a long off season ..that was a real odd call on Herasme's 3 pointer .foul on Niagara guy .really a turning point ..congrats to Paulus ,,he had a great game plan ..18% from 3 is not going to win many games ..We do have a ways to go ..we're close ..just have to fix those holes .

I realize I may be criticized for this but this is how I feel on what it's like to watch Marist Men's basketball in recent years: Marist plays with you and slowly gives you a sliver of hope. A sliver of optimism. Then, just when they bring you to the point of thinking they can win, they punch you in the stomach. Then, when you fall on the floor, they kick you in the head.

"There's still time to hop on the ship .." - hope you had a life raft.
Best news about this painful season is that it is over and we can start trying to fix for next year. Right now I just do not see how they "become" a winning team as they exist today. Got to see how rest of recruiting plays out.

Definitely a "warm" seat year for Dunne next year ...I would say "hot" seat but that i think is only reserved for His fourth year ..but only if they have a poor year next year .Im only sold on 1 position to be remaining the same with rotation etc ..that being center .with the addition of Enoh ..even if he's back up .I like Jones ..I don't want Herasme playing 38 ..40 ..I know some of us rant and rave about him but he went 1-7 and he did not shut Hammond down ..One thing i might disagree with Dunne about is his allegiance to him cause he was the "original" recruit from St. pete's .and he hustles ...a lot of players can hustle ...He has his place but its not 40 min..So .a lot of revamping , we won't be a "young " team ..that excuse is gone . I'.d say .500 is a reasonable goal next year .

We might get on same page for next year as I agree with almost everything in post. My only difference is I hope Enoh is more of a factor than Jones as Enoh is going to be around for 2 years. Cubbage has to be recruited over and the Freshman PGs (hope there is at least 2) need to take his min. - as Cubbage can not play the 2 in any form his min need to be drastically reduced. Just hoping the fact the he is a senior doesn't effect Dunne's decision to move forward.

He is a good ball handler ,rebounder and mid range shooter ..so i see him as a 20 min a game guy ,,Announcer said in the beginning of the game that he will be a MAAC MVP candidate next year .won't go that far ,but a 6th man of year possibly ..Townes from Niagara got that this year..

None of these guys should be playing these kind of minutes, but they had no bench, especially after Hines and Turner were dismissed, and that's just in terms of numbers of players available; the quality also was not there.

Watching this game it was painfully obvious this team has no go to guy. Hammond isn't all world but at least he is someone you can give the ball to in the closing moments. Who is that guy on Marist? Cubbage and his BRUTAL 3-point shooting? I agree - there is some degrees of talent and heart. But they are missing a pretty vital piece. With pretty much everyone relevant on the team returning next year, they need to find someone who can be reliable in crunch time.
Sigh. I'm not sure why I even bother. I've never felt more down on this program. 12 years have gone by since I sat in the stands watching us lose the MAAC semifinals to an undermanned Rider team. The last time Marist had a winning record. 12 years. Unbelievable.
