If any game says must win it's this game . A win gets them close to getting them back in the fold for a bye come tournament time . A win will finally get the St. Peter's monkey off Dunne's back . A couple of winnable games after this one also . So it's imperative to win this one .4 of the next 5 are in our house .lets make some noise !!

We gonna get annihilated on boards, so we have to hit a good percentage of our 3's.

Marist +3.5, i would take Marist in that one ,unfortunately the betting parlor here has no betting on any NY college teams .

This could be a double "win". Finally beat St. Peter's and rebound from the bad loss in Buffalo. Rooting for the home team.
It will be interesting to see the adjustments being made to free up Sagl as teams aren't giving him any room at the moment.

Of the 5 M.A.A.C. games tonight only Marist is a home dog, my guy has it at +2.5. I'm hoping Jones gets with the program tonight, after a year and a half in the system he should know the defense. I
agree that this is an important game for both the team and Dunne after going 0-4 vs his old team.

yankee....I saw your post on the SP board and I agree with you regarding John Dunne. Marist took a beating last game but after the game JD was mobbed by friends ( St. Peter's Alumni and several of his former players). Since we are friends I spoke with JD for several minutes and we do talk by phone on occasion. Certainly Marist vs SPU has greater significance than other games but there is no bitterness. IMO Marist is lucky to have him. Obviously a very good basketball Coach but even a better guy.
That said, I have to say that at the first game the Marist players were not that impressive to me. The team moved the ball well but had almost no one who looked like they could put the ball in the basket on a regular basis. True, that was just one game and looks can be deceiving but as a friend and now rooter for Marist and JD I believe that their talent level ....now or potentially needs significant improvement Marist, certainly, has a lot to "sell"in it's Campus, Athletic Facility and location. I'm confident that JD and Staff will upgrade the Program pretty quickly.
Regarding SP. I root for the Team and believe that they have more talent than Marist but not overwhelmingly so. The league is poor and well balanced in that. As the saying goes...."on any given night...." Good luck to Marist except for tonight.

This is a good barometer game for the rest of the season. A w and I think the arrow is pointing up the rest of the year and next is just adding to the foundation. A l and another disappointing season with more changes required and start over next year

7 steals for Marist early, and the offense seems to be clicking right now.

Glad players came out fired up for coach. Let's hope they fight through the lulls they will invariably hit.
