Foxes hanging in though. Had a chance to tie it at 14, but couldn't push it in from the 1/2 yard line.

Poor clock management by Cornell keeps the score at 14-7 going into the half. Foxes get the ball to start the 3rd.

Twice inside the 1, and Marist can't score either time. And btw, the camera work is atrocious. The operator can't keep up with any play that goes more than 10 yards, constantly trailing the action. Especially evident on long passes or punts.

I see Day didn't play. Did they give an update on his condition?

Usual performance, mistakes and blown opportunities. That said, it was a great environment, the stands were full, tailgating was fantastic just too bad they couldn't win.
General thoughts are we're in for another .500 season. Players, alum and admin love staff, so no changes coming. Give it two years.

Sure would be nice to win a couple of these types of games. So frustrating that we never do. Agree staff are great people.

have to imagine they convert one or more of those scoring opportunities if the QB1 was available. I'm no Parady apologist but even I'm willing to chalk this one up to bad luck.

I have to agree with shooter. If Day is in this is another story. I do have to question the play calls at the two 4th and goals from the 1. One was a hand off in the pistol and the other was a delayed QB run.
But I think we are ignoring how good the defense was. They were consistently put into bad situations and stepped up.

Cornell dominated on the ground. I guess you can say D bent but didn’t break?

I was pleased with the play of DE Mark Gordon. He came from the same high school in Ohio that my daughters attended, a school that perennially goes deep in the state playoffs, so he is used to winning. Hopefully, he will enjoy at least one year like that at Marist.
