non-football teams had a good day. Volleyball won at Iona, men's soccer scored with six seconds left to beat Manhattan on the road. WSOC had a bye.

Gabby Murray (a freshman) hit 0.833 in the VB game. For people who don't know volleyball, 0.600 is a great hitting percentage, so ya, she had a pretty good day.

Fergus and Theriot each go back-to-back as Volleyball PotW and LotW. Stefan Copetti got another MAAC men's soccer Rookie of the Week nod as well.

dramatic win for WSOC last night against Manhattan. Same kid ties it with a PK in the final 2 minutes, then scores on a header with under 3 minutes left in 2OT to win it and clinch a MAAC tournament spot.
Men's soccer won at Rider when we were awarded a penalty with 10 seconds left and buried it...how salty must the Broncs have been with those referees

3 straight MAAC Libero of the Week awards for Sophia Theriot. Only a freshman - should be a cornerstone of the team for the next few years.

Marist (8-9-1, 5-4-1 MAAC) will be the #4 seed in the MAAC women's soccer tournament and host #5 Quinnipiac (9-7-1, 5-4-1 MAAC) on Sunday at Tenney Stadium, time TBA. The regular season matchup was a 1-0 win at home for the Foxes. Winner goes to either Monmouth or Fairfield next Thursday for the semifinals, depending on the outcome of the other quarterfinal (#6 Niagara at #3 Rider).

men's soccer beat Monmouth 1-0 last night with a double overtime goal; it would have been horrible not to take 3 points against one of the only truly atrocious teams Monmouth fields, but disaster averted.
Marist has won 5 of its last 6 to sit in 4th place in the MAAC with 2 matches left - Saturday at 2nd place Iona and Wednesday at home against last place Canisius. The road to a title will go through Jersey City, of all places, as Saint Peter's has clinched the regular season championship. Yes, that Saint Peter's.

# 4 Women's Soccer run off their own pitch in the second half by #5 Quinny 3-2 in the MAAC Quarterfinals today. Quinny scores 3 unanswered goals beginning at the 65.27 mark, a mere 14 seconds after Marist had netted the ball for a 2-0 lead. Ouch!

Men's soccer finished the regular season with a flourish, bludgeoning sad sack Canisius 6-0 earlier today. The Griffs finished 2-15-1. Marist will be the #4 seed (again with the 4th place) and host #5 Manhattan on Sunday.
Iona-Monmouth is the last piece of the seeding puzzle tonight, the Gaels should win and claim the 2 seed behind Saint Peter's. That would make Quinnipiac the #3, hosting #6 Rider. If Monmouth ties or wins, Q gets the bye and Iona drops to 3rd.

Marist Men's Soccer throttles Canisius 6-0 tonight with five goals coming in the first half. Pretty much an an expected result due to the Griffs being at the bottom of the MAAC standings; but a good game on a chilly night nonetheless. Sometime tomorrow, most likely by late afternoon, the MAAC Men's Soccer brackets will be announced. The Foxes finish out the regular season at 4th place, but 3th place Iona's on the road against 10th Monmouth tonight; which means if the Hawks can pull a last-game upset, we could be bumped up a slot in the tournament. Either way, it looks like the first round matchup will be back at Tenney.

Volleyball clinches a spot in the MAAC tournament (not surprising) but lost today which essentially means they wont get the 2 seed unless there is a big upset next weekend.
