another one up two sets to none against Northern Colorado, can VB get off the schneid this afternoon out in Cali? 13-11 Foxes in the 3rd.
NoCo is a good mid-major team; they swept Buffalo who kicked our ass, also beat Rutgers, New Mexico and perennial CAA power College of Charleston

VB wins in straight sets against Santa Clara. There were 7-1 (now 7-2). SC swept Indiana. So a nice weekend so far for the VB team. 39 kills on the day for Millbrook native Megan Fergus...building a nice MAAC PotW resume. No matter what happens against San Jose State tomorrow, what a great way to build to the start of MAAC matches at home next weekend.

Monmouth messes with #25 Texas by a 4-0 margin, in case you were wondering who was going to win the MAAC women's soccer championship

Mens soccer drops to 2-3 - can't put ball in the net the goal the Marist player scored against Albany last night was gorgeous...too bad they were down 2-0 in the 89th minute at the time.

Just want to give some love to the women's cross country team. Ranked 10th in the Northeast in the U-S track and field cross country coaches association poll. First time ever they've appeared in the top ten. Pete Colaizzo(disclosure, a former x-c teammate of mine) has done a phenomenal job with the track and cross country program

Volleyball moves to 4-1 in the MAAC (Only loss comes to perennial powerhouse Fairfield). Just need to finish in top 6 (out of 10) to make the tournament. Having 3 freshman in the rotation, 2 great outside hitters, and a first year head coach means they should just get better throughout this year.

soccer sweeps Siena today; women win 1-0 up there, men score in 2OT to win 2-1.
The women have only allowed 1 goal in the last 360 minutes and are 3-2-1 in the MAAC with 4 matches left, 3 of which are against the teams that are tied for the cellar. The men pretty much had the season on the line tonight after starting 0-2 in the MAAC; 5 of their final 8 are at home.
Tough one for volleyball which went the distance but fell in 5 at home to Canisius (6-0 in the league) this afternoon. Really important match tomorrow at McCann against an en fuego Niagara squad that has won 5 in a row after starting the season 1-10.
