Yet, Canisius is 3-1 since the Reese suspension. They beat Quinnipiac and won at Rider. They look better without him. Iona has Crawford, McGill, Gist, and Agee. Griffin would have been a great fit, but it is what it is. Them 4 average 57.8 of Iona's 78 ppg. I don't think the NCAA selection committee would even bother looking at a MAAC team and just how they fared their last 10 games for an at large. That's for BCS schools.
Where did I ever try to diminish the accomplishments of this team? Did you ascertain that the same way you did my post about Stevie Wonder coaching 3 of the most talented guys to a MAAC championship? Recap: [[And if your saying people with disabilities can't coach a basketball team i would have to say thats one of the more ignorant things i have ever heard in my life . and probably goes to show what kind of person you are]] That's what you took from my post? First things first; I have a son who is Autistic, and a nephew who is deaf. To me, what YOU said is the most ignorant thing I have heard. So, please, stop trying to read into something and figure people out. You swung and missed about me.
So, devil's advocate. Marist's SOS isn't their fault. Who does the schedule? Of the 8 teams Marist could schedule, not including Belfast teams, the one who had the best RPI at the end of 2017-18 was Colgate at 192. Average RPI: 268. 3 had winning records, 2 lost 20+ games, and 3 had an RPI over 300.
Not diminishing their season, but there's the numbers, do as you will. Will it mean the same if they win the MAAC tournament and make the NCAA tournament? Of course, NCAA is the NCAA. One point I will take from your post as standing out; "There is still some good basketball out there." I agree. I think there's more to come. Just because the league sucks, isn't always a bad thing. It means closer games, everyone can stay with everyone, and forget predictions. March 7th, EVERY team has a 9% chance to win it all.

"and if your saying people with disabilities can't coach a basketball team I would have to say thats one of the more ingnorant things I have ever heard in my life, and probably goes to show what kind of person you are" is a personal attack on a poster. You may not like the attempt at humor, but you flat out know he wasn't attacking people with disabilities. That is garbage bg.

So, I find it crappy when an obvious attempt a joke is turned into trying to say someone was really attacking someone with disabilities. That is a personal attack that cant be allowed.

I just read it bg. You are correct. I hope you can see how I could misconstrue who said it through reading that post. D2, I know we have agreed on how many are not supporting Marist like they should this year, but that comment was uncalled for and was a personal attack we don't need on this board.

I agree. I didn't say much then, only help me find the block option. It just stuck with me since then. It was a joke, maybe a bad attempt, but I certainly would never say someone with a disability cannot coach a basketball team. In retrospect, maybe I will say "someone wearing a blindfold all season" instead.

Apology accepted ,I too have spent a good deal of time woriking with children of disabilities as well as having co workers that are legally blind . and no Yankee that is no garbage ,.Yankee if you want to single out forum members that have personal attacks that have no basis or reason to be on this forum there are a number of posters on here who are constantly saying your dumb ,your stupid and for some reason are fully allowed to function on the forum . This was not a personal attack on an individual ,but rather pointing out individuals with disabilites are capable of great things which i can attest to . He would have been better served to say u or I could have coached the team and had the same result ,and left it at that .

Rider coughs up a 9-point lead with 49 seconds left and ends up losing by 10 in overtime at the Q.
Ladies and gentlemen, the Broncs is burning.

Has any program gotten less out of more than Rider?
Starting to think the storyline of this year's tournament might turn out to be Siena and the home court advantage. Echo's of 2002?

Or a couple years back when they lost in overtime to Iona in the championship game , If they would have won ,Patsos is still coaching no doubt . I really see no clear cut team to win , can't say i've watched too much of Monmouth . It'll be fun to watch no doubt . Anyone but Iona ,but somehow they always (just about) slip in

8 minutes to go, Siena up at home against Iona 51-38. 19-1 run by Iona to end the game and the Saints fall 57-52. The lone point Siena scored in the final 8 minutes was an Evan Fisher FT with 12 seconds left.
