Sounds like just what the Dr. ordered if he has PG ballhandling skills, can penetrate and dish, and finish, he should take pressure off Cubbage.

He played alongside Rider's Christian Ings last year, and 3 of his current team mates have committed to St. Joe's, SDSU, and Bowling Green

247Sports has him rated a 3 star, #327 in U.S. 55th PG and 11th overall in PA. and 5'10", ESPN has him 5'11".

NM - Neumann Goretti guard Hakim Byrd was committed to Binghamton University for barely more than two weeks before he had seconds thoughts.

Yankee's dreams have been answered ..! Redfox5 was the first one to recognize our desperate need for PG last few years. I just realized how correct he was and repeated it a billion times:)

Not sure if they are looking for one, but if they could find a senior grad transfer who could start at PG and allow byrd to play 16-20 mpg freshman year, that would be perfect.

Awesome job by the staff! Philly and Neumann Goretti always turn out good PGs with some fire under them. Byrd should be exactly what the doctor ordered.

Please "like" my post on page 7 where I said Byrd was going to be Marist's guy. Thanks in advance. Making progress.

Excellent news! I wonder if they will look the JC route for a more experienced PG as well. So we don't throw Byrd to the fire right away. Or will last two scholarships go to front court players.

Morton I thought was going to be a stud but that couldn't have been any more wrong

Found this from about a week ago. Wagner isn't exactly Duke, but nice to see Marist win some battles and being out there.
