What a mess. That was a season's worth of crappy FB. So maybe with that out of our system we rebound against Stetson. My glass is not half full, it's been empty several times tonight.

Anyone who has watched this program over the years cannot be surprised. We really need a new voice at HC

That, folks is an example of a Patriot budget vs. a Pioneer budget. Nowhere to go but up....

PL and NEC are above us, let's hope we can compete with Ivy teams otherwise it's D2 and 3 for OOC

That, folks is an example of a Patriot budget vs. a Pioneer budget. Nowhere to go but up.... I agree and disagree. Money would help but yesterday's performance was typical for Marist FB over the past 20 years. The Marist FB budget isn't far from USD, Dayton or Butler. None of those teams would lose to Bucknell in the fashion Marist did yesterday. Dayton lost to Robert Morris on a last second FG. And frankly Dayton probably should have won that game. RMU is a fully schollie team. Butler lost to Illinois State, a perennially FCS playoff team. A team that would kill Bucknell. USD beats Bucknell. I guess my question would be, OK more money . . how much more and what do you buy?

PL and NEC are above us, let's hope we can compete with Ivy teams otherwise it's D2 and 3 for OOC This is going to be a real problem for the foreseeable future. Schollies for PL and NEC are definitely separating us (PFL) from being competitive on the field. Our OOC has us playing the two worst team in their respective conferences (Columbia and G'town). We'll see how competitive those games are but over the past 4 years our OOC record is 1-11. D2 and D3 isn't the answer. Maybe we drop Bucknell start hurting for a money game.

D2 and D3 are not options...NCAA will not allow it. We are a non scholarship DI FCS school because we were forced to leave DIII.
Most of the Pioneer schools were D3 years ago prior to the NCAA mandating that all DI schools compete at a DI level in all sports.
So the answer was the Pioneer League... Now we can play and compete without offering scholarships.

I will never donate enough money to be privy to the budget info. I know the school wants the program but its costly. To answer your question..."what do you buy?" I am not going to start knocking players but we continually seem to get pushed around. An offensive line that could control the field for awhile would be a nice start. More money = more talent.

Again, I agree that we could use more money. There is a very interesting discussion going on at the PFL forum about how the PFL is becoming even less competitive and what $$ solutions could be made available to teams. And I know other schools have very creative (but NCAA legal) ways of adding $$$ to the FB budget. But my issue with yesterday was that the Foxes didn't look prepared (how many WR/QB reads went wrong; blown coverage for the 3rd TD; can't kick a PAT).

Marist doesn't even spend as much as half the PFL.
