Let me say the unthinkable out loud - hope this doesn't carry into next basketball season I don't think it's an unthinkable possibility. It's a realistic probability. Think about how cancelling the college football season will devastate the financial underpinnings of college sports. I posted an well researched article in the MAAC/NCAA News section. It's a bit wonky and long but well worth the read. Can anyone envision the path from "stay at home" orders today to 15K in the Carrier Dome or even 1500 in McCann resolving in 6 months without a vaccine and a national vaccination program? At the college where I work we are making plans stay fully online this Summer (July/August). No students on campus. Our contingency plan is for majority online classes and a limited face-to-face classes to resume in July. Maybe not more than 10 people in the classroom and enough space for 6' of separation. This 'aint pretty in the land of higher ed.

if there is a 20-21 season (and that "if" is doing some major lifting in this sentence), you're probably looking at a significantly reduced number of games, fans or no fans - I'm gonna say 18 games, MAAC only. Will the tournament happen in AC, will there be fans, will it be done some other way, will it happen at all...man, I just dunno.

I would like to see that all games played at the higher seeds home court. Maybe the final 4 at Albany. IMO I don't think that AC will host another MACC Tournament.

Im sure they will have a lot of contingency plans ..I would like a planned basketball season to start in early January . With December being the month of practice ..If the situation is somewhat better by November give them that month also for practice .Usually off season is great for upgrading a players weaknesses .but with gyms and health clubs closed .there is going to be so much rust going into next year that it is imperative that players have an oppurtunity to get back in tip top shape .

And they are still saying 18 months until a vaccine can be fully developed and tested before it can be mass produced. Assuming the process was started as soon as it first got here from China in late January or early February, you are looking at July '21 before it can start to be distributed.
