Marist womens soccer instagram posted a video of the new field. One endzone has Marist, the other endzone says red foxes, and mid-field has a Marist with a fox head under it. The new turf looks nice!

Nice I hope they install a track somewhere next. It is ridiculous that there isn't one.

Nice I hope they install a track somewhere next. It is ridiculous that there isn't one. Especially is they want to get back on track (so to speak) for winning Commish Cups. See Monmouth. Could help recruiting in Football?

Nice I hope they install a track somewhere next. It is ridiculous that there isn't one. Many local schools have nice tracks. That is insane that Marist doesn't.

The happy recap by TM on the new playing surface at Tenney Stadium. Logos, no sports specific lining. Mysterious other upgrades for" ESPN 3 productions". Even some camera time for the general contractor. New playing surface If this doesn't work its also currently on the front page of GoRedFoxes.

Is it true the expansion will be facilitated by the removal of all the unnecessary seating in the McCann arena.

Remove the AD office. If it’s current owner happens to be there while it is happening all the better!

Finally a building/shop the campus really needs - I lived at 23 Deleno my senior year and EVERY single morning i visited Rossi's and Mrs Rossi always asked me what i wanted for lunch and sure enough when i got home it was made. I don't remember ever paying full price - my egg sandwich and coffee in the Am was always $1.75. When we had our formal we were all in our Tuxes and there was Mrs Rossi with camera, crying and taking pictures with us. One of my truly favorite memories of Marist - never ever go back and not stop in to Rossi's www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/story/entertainment/dining/2018/01/26/rossis-deli-open-second-location-marist-college/1069903001/The deli will open with the unveiling of the school's North Campus Dining Center on Monday.
Though the deli will primarily target students and faculty, anyone can purchase food from it.
"We are thrilled to partner with Rossi and Sons, a perennial favorite among Marist students and employees," said Deborah DiCaprio, vice president and dean of student affairs.
Marist approached the deli about one year ago about opening a deli in the planned North Campus Dining Center, according to Fabio Rossi, co-manager of the deli. The college surveyed students about food options for the center, and Rossi's ranked highly among the students.
"It's extremely humbling," Rossi said. "We grew up in this place, and it's what we know and are comfortable with. It's daunting to venture outside, but the call for Rossi's from students was resounding." The family and cooks pose for a photo at Rossi & SonsBuy Photo

Employees with Sodexo, the food service company which operates at Marist, are undergoing training led by Rossi's staff to operate the deli. Deli staff will remain on-hand to ensure the quality matches the original deli for the opening, and staff will also conduct weekly check-ins beyond that.
The deli will initially feature five sandwiches based on their popularity among the students.
"Once we're comfortable with how things are progressing, we plan to include more variety and specialty sandwiches," Rossi said.

Not sure if this was posted here or elsewhere: www.maristcircle.com/home/2018/1/27/marist-makes-strides-in-on-campus-fitness-centersHighlights: “The gym will get us in line with the other beautiful buildings on campus like Hancock,” Murray said. “It’s very impactful in recruiting general students too.” Brackett suggests the campus will continue to grow at a rapid pace, with a renovation and expansion project for the Dyson academic building on the horizon. As a final touch, the school’s much sought after elevated indoor track will circle the area above the basketball courts—enabling general students and athletes, including Marist’s Division 1 Track and Cross Country teams, to practice on-campus.

It's a great day to be an admissions counselor at Marist College. Seriously, I do think the dedication of separate training facilities for athletes will give the coaching staffs a nice talking point on the recruiting trail.

If they are doing so much why not convert the gym to a real arena? Are they that indifferent to the basketball programs?
