Great find Mike...this kid would be a great get, a real pure point guard who can score when necessary. As you can see in his profile below he didnt average many points in the season but in the playoffs when he had to, he put up both points and great assist numbers. (and seeing that Virginia Tech is somewhat interested is promising; this kid might be a steal to get) www.psal.org/psalsports/player/psal_playerprofile.asp?cid=256012071&csport=001#

i'm perplexed again - here are two guys we got no shot at and from what I've read we have not even offfered a scholarship to - so how is this relavent.
Here is one of the articles you posted: not one mention of Marist
Myles Davis, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound combo guard from Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter’s Prep, is the No. 9 shooting guard in the Class of 2011. Davis averaged 20.1 points a game and was named First-Team All-State by The Star Ledger. He dropped 33 points in an upset of Oak Hill (Va.) Academy, scored 29 in the Group A final against Camden Catholic and had 23 against St. Anthony.
According to St. Peter’s coach Mike Kelly, Villanova is in a strong position with Davis at this point.
“Villanova has made a commitment to Myles Davis,” Kelly said. “They’re going to offer him in person. Jay Wright said they’re going to offer him a scholarship.”
There is a dead period until May 28, but Kelly said Wright could come to see Davis after the dead period in late May or early June.
“I talked to Coach Wright,” Davis said. “He seems really interested in me. I’m interested in the program, too. Coach Wright produces guards and it’s a guard school. If you want to get better as a guard that’s definitely a school to look at.”
Still, Davis is keeping his options open.
His complete list includes Georgetown, UConn, Pitt, Virginia, George Mason, St. Joe’s and Villanova. Among those, UConn, Georgetown and Villanova have yet to formally offer.
Another:
One of the nation's top sharpshooters has visited a trio of lucky schools recently. Myles Davis '11 of St. Peter's Prep (NJ), a 6'2 shooting guard, is considered amongst the Garden State's finest players in the state's loaded class of 2011. Davis recently told Northstar Basketball that he was being recruited by Wake Forest, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, George Mason (offer), Marist, Pitt, Louisville, St. Joseph’s, and Penn State. Some of those schools are interested enough in Davis to have had him on campus for an unofficial visit. St. Joseph's, George Mason, and Virginia recently hosted Myles, and he took the visits in that order.
we were not important enough to even visit. - these posts are usless

some of your posts remind me of the Movie Planes, Trains, & Automobiles
Neal: You know everything is not an anecdote. You have to discriminate. You choose things that are funny or mildly amusing or interesting. You're a miracle! Your stories have NONE of that. They're not even amusing ACCIDENTALLY! "Honey, I'd like you to meet Del Griffith, he's got some amusing anecodotes for you. Oh and here's a gun so you can blow your brains out. You'll thank me for it." I could tolerate any insurance seminar. For days I could sit there and listen to them go on and on with a big smile on my face. They'd say, "How can you stand it?" I'd say, "'Cause I've been with Del Griffith. I can take ANYTHING." You know what they'd say? They'd say, "I know what you mean. The shower curtain ring guy. Woah." It's like going on a date with a Chatty Cathy doll. I expect you have a little string on your chest, you know, that I pull out and have to snap back. Except I wouldn't pull it out and snap it back - you would. Agh! Agh! Agh! Agh! And by the way, you know, when you're telling these little stories? Here's a good idea - have a POINT. It makes it SO much more interesting for the listener!

The best part of this article (http://sports.yahoo.com/top/news?slug=rivals-385402) is that Sebastian Telfair's little brother may be playing ball for RC Ketcham.
Marist simply can't compete with some of the big programs after the recruits we keep reading about here. Yes it is wonderful that Martin is out there working the courts but he would not be doing his job if he didn't.
Stop counting your chickens (super frosh) before the egg is hatched (we see him play). The only way Jay Bowie sees any significant PT is if Sam Prescott does not play for Marist this year. Don't forget he played in the really small school league in FL. Kind of like getting all hyped up over a kid from Sullivan West getting All State 5th team, though he might not even start for a class AA HS
He's going to be good someday but he'll be a freshman on an upperclassmen (one senior, many sophomores and a couple redshirt freshmen) dominated team. lol
I agree with Nomar. I'm tired of reading about kids who will never play for Marist.
