That was gutsy win from pretty much the team we will have next year.
Got to give a shout out to Lee - so different then where she was beginning of the year.
I said it often as great as Zaria and Fisher are it was going to be interesting to see how this team plays when 1st 2nd and 3rd options were one of those two.

Good and much needed win to break the streak.
Looking at the line up, I'm guessing this will be next years ladies that will be tasked with defending the den? Always a wild card, can the two freshman make a quick transition from high school to D1, (kind of like the US Army's 80's aviation commercial...."go from high school to flight school") and some strategic grabs out of the portal I truly think Coach E can be competitive, win close games and work their way out of the seller in the MAAC.
Just wondering how Coach E and Marist will be able to compete in this time of craziness in college sports, NIL's......(Catlin Clark of Iowa is estimated to be work 3.1 MILLION dollars, according to Sporting News), kids that are focus on the name of the back of the jersey instead of the one on the front (thank you Nomar) and the "what can you do for me attitude". The lack of scholarships Marist offers and now Dartmouth unionizing of its Men's Basketball team, and its affect on smaller mid major schools........as an school employee, you don't perform, your fired.
My last little uniformed observation, can Coach E bring back, if not the glory days of Coach Giorgis but a fan base beside the loyal season ticket holders and faithful posters here on the board. Attendance has dropped at the McCann for home games and I see only the same names (Normar, Shooter, Oldfox, TG to name the very few) that post winning or losing.......but in the end, what's posted here really does not mean much in the grand scheme of things.....
If my understanding is correct, Marist will be the 8th seed and have to battle number 1 Fairfield, what a shocking upset that would be to jack up the Nations Number 25 team's roll to the Big Dance...lol. Good luck Ladies, will be watching and rooting for them.

Lee played great and confident. That’s what we were expecting. Great finish by Cunningham. Best stat of the night was 36 minutes out of Lee.
Croker is leaps and bounds from where she was as a freshman. I love her baseline shot.
I think we need to be going for a 2/3 and a 3/4 in the portal.
Let’s keep it going and get another upset on Sunday.

We can't play Fairfield until the finals (lol)

They need an athletic player that can run the offense and breakdown her defender and get to the hoop. Nobody on this roster who projects to be at Marist next year can do that. Piddock is a combo guard who can backup a starting 1 and probably start at the two. Asking her to run the team full time next season is malpractice and a waste.
