bad offensive foul called on made hope by Tori and missed layup by Coffey - Coffey looks open so many times outside the arc - this is where we are missing someone who has a very quick release from 3 and has the confidence to take it

This is going to be a long season, outside of BU this team will not win an OOC game. We are young I know and it is too easy for the defenses to guard against Tori and Coffey - our Sophs did not make the jump many of us where hoping for.

This was a disappointing loss at home. I really wonder if these 4 quarters are screwing them up - every other quarter we are a different team

Disappointing but at least a game they can take something from unlike Creighton.
Simply gonna be a different kind of season until things click.
Rebecka and Lovisa played well. They get nothing from the 2, nothing at all.

Clement 1-8 and Coffey 1-9 (yes she go to the line a lot but need to finish some of these shots) - as a team 3-16 from 3 point land (wasn't this supposed to be a strength?)
Also Maura has been non existent so far

Also Maura has been non existent so far I'm not sure why 3 point shooting should be a strength after Blais left. Blais shot 46% and Coffey shot 38%. Everyone else shot blanks. You are spot on regarding the Sophomores. Baab is better, but Clement seems to be the same player as last year so far. Neither gives a defense much cause for alarm.

I liked what I saw except from the sophs...They are an active team. Just young and needs to learn how to win. Lots of upside. Rebecka and Claire look good at the point and take care of the ball. Lovisa is gonna develop too. She has a high basketball IQ

agree, and i dont think clement serves us best at the 2. id would put allie back at pt guard. Rebecka is a nice player, but she doesnt look uo the court! fearthefox, your comment was right, maura seems nonexisitent out there, she's super athletic gets ahead of the field but never gets the ball for easy transition hoops Fastest way up the court is with a pass, look up the court! maura is also open in the lane as well, i just dont feel she's as good distributor as claire or allie.. I would go back to our original starting5 with clement, fitz, coffey baab and tori. when coffey struggles from the field we struggle as a team, some else has to step in and knock down a few shots. no way we should have lost that game rebounding again is an issue with this team. I like lovisa, has a very nice touch around the hoop, needs to improve defensively

Clement does not serve us well at the 2 guard. Fitz needs to move there and be able to get into the flow of the game. She will come around. I think it was apparent to me last night that at 5'8', Clement is a bit small for the 2 guard. I too, would like to see Allie move to the point and Fitz to the 2. I think from what I saw last night, Lovisa has more upside than Baab. I would have no problem having her start at the 4 right now. Until Baab gets more comfortable, I feel Lovisa should get the starting nod...just my 2 cents...

What has Maura shown that makes you think she is a better fit then Clement? The 2-11 shooting (0-2 from 3?)

First off, Fitz is 5'11", much quicker than Clement, and a better defender. I'm tired of seeing Allie get beat off the dribble. As far as offensive production, Maura has not really had an opportunity to get into the flow of the game at the 2 position. When she does, she'll be fine. I think she's the best option at the 2 at this point. Scoring will come from her and her D is excellent. Maura will also be a rebounding asset which we need badly...

Allie was 4/8 from 3-point against South Dakota St., and 3/6 in the exhibition game. Last night she did not shoot well, that will probably happen more than once again. But I don't think she's a point guard, by skill-set or by her own preference.

I just hope these girls can stick together and not get too down as this could be a 1-11 team by the time we play Rider in the new year.

fear, this early in the season I would not be too concerned about fitz being 2/11! That's kind of ridiculous. I think she's playing maybe a bit tight, she's not getting the ball in good spots. I'd like to see them get more transition hoops, advance the ball faster with a pass, and I think allie will be better in this respect. I agree with tomsoph, put allie at the point let fitz play the 2, she brings more to the table at that position. They have to improve rebounding, getting hammered on the boards. fitz is the 2nd best rb on team. These girls need to learn how to box out, with m to m, rebounding should be pretty good.
