Guess Giorgis no longer need be concerned that Coffey won't be a vocal leader this season. That's some hot stuff. LOL " I'm feeling good from my hat to my shoe, Know where I am going and I know what to do, I've tidied up my point of view, I've got a new attitude." - Patti LaBelle "New Attitude"

#25 ruined what would have been a great legacy. Absolute shame what she did. Team unity should be much better this year.

Hate seeing all the hate on Blais, She left to follow her dreams which she could only do if she went to a bigger school..was it bad timing? Yeah but you only get to go to college once if it took her this long to realize she wasnt happy then oh well..

Yes she followed her dream but she also quit on her team. She thought only of herself and that is not what the Marist women have been about in the past.
Look at Kate Oliver... Blais is in same mold as her. Nothing wrong with it just not the character of the Fitz, Allenspach, Yarde, Dulin, Ockenden's of the world..

Number 25 forever in terms of Marist womens basketball to me is shameful. We supported that player so much. She did this college so bad. But, we move on.

Wish I saw what that meant at the time. Good luck 25.

I may have limited post because i just joined because im very involved in Marist News and wanted to discuss among others..I knew Blais personally and reading what was being said about her was hurtful because shes human and shes doing what is making her happy. Her introductions were not selfish she said she wanted to have fun with them and do a different one each time. It may have been a selfish move but its her college career. We may all disagree agree on this just wanted all the personal jabs at her to stop.

I don't know that I read the actual reasons for the players leaving. Seemed like maybe one, led to others feeling that they could be served better at another school this year. We may have fallen short last year in making the NCAA Tournament and winning the MAAC; but I feel the team still had a good year. Just that Quinnipiac was better for the games that counted. Really nothing for the team to be ashamed of or abashed about. I think what we are upset about is that with those four women leaving like that; we did have a good basis for a team with our returning players (or so we thought). I think if the incoming freshman can meld with the remaining veterans, we can still be quite competitive. And if not this year then next. I thank those who left for their contributions to the program and look forward to seeing the new wave develop and become part of the "big red machine" and win this years MAAC and compete in the NCAA Tournament. Maybe a rough start to the season as the players learn the system and their roles; but good things are in the future.........

Thank you redfoxnation11....for all of us that have changed jobs during our careers, I guess you can say we quit on our team. I suspect we have a lot of quitters on this blog.
