CYO night, kids with CYO jerseys get in free, so should be a nice type of crowd. Kids don't get grumpy and grouchy with bad basketball plays. We have to admit this team is extremely young and inexperienced, so there are going to be a lot bad basketball plays. Hopefully the players feed off the positive energy of the families being there, kids will cheer even if down a bunch for good plays. Lewis coming back is obviously a big plus and I believe we have seen some improvement from others because of the extra playing time they have been getting. Students won't be there, so Marist will miss those extra 6 fans who support the team, but oh well. Unfortunately though I am guessing that means no band, which does stink because they are very supportive and get the crowd going. My hope for this game is Marist to do simply 3 things. Shoot 44 percent or better, stay within 4 rebounds of St. Joseph, hold St. Josephs to under 42 percent shooting. Do those things and its a competitive game which Marist could pull out. Random numbers, but they sound good to me:). My first game attending this year with the kids. Looking forward to some decent basketball.

St. Joe's is just not very good. 58 ppg, 38% shooting as a team, 23% from three. They are offensively challenged. They lost to Gonzaga by 52 and sport a home loss to Farleigh Dickinson. They haven't topped 70 points in a regulation game all season. If Lewis is 80% and doesn't re injure himself Marist might have a chance to win this one.

St. Joes did beat Temple Red Fox. So, while they may not be great, they have shown potential and are good defensively. This is a good challenge, and would be a good win IMO.

Yes it will take time for Maker to turn this around and we are hoping he has the ability to find DI talent with the handcuffs that have been placed on this program because it is obvious watching these current players that the other coaches were not able to over come

What we have seen is what we are going to get until those at the top decide to stop their delusional approach to running a program that "competes" in D1.

I'm sure they won't go the JUCO route so they'll expect the fans to wait 3 more yrs before they can win... Hart only has two more yrs left. He'll be gone by the time they become halfway decent.. How the hell can they expect anybody to show up if they aren't going to be competitive? This year has been a nightmare. You would just think that the brass would put the pedal to the medal for next yr. They can't keep using the young excuse. Bring in some damn guys who can get the thing turned around quickly. They don't know what the hell they're doing.. Other schools do it but Marist would rather lose and do it their way. Pathetic..

The guys at the top are clueless. Don't expect any brilliant direction out of them when it comes to this program.

My guess on Hart is 1 more year he will graduate and go to different college to have a chance to win - and not have to sit - that is what I would do.
