I just don't know how to react to this team - shooting 14% in 2nd half - not used to this 3-26 from 3 - this is against a mediocre mid major not Baylor or St. John's

No matter what it's definitely going to be a tough season. But I think when Tori is back we'll be a ton better. I also like how Clement and Birchmeier play. All that matters is March.

No Tori, no Glory. Her return doubles their post presence and allows Kat to move to the 4, and Maddy to become the 3rd guard. Van Horn going to the bench helps with the depth. Birchmeier was good again today. Clement not so much. Thought she hurt the offense (such that it was) by rushing 3's before even trying to work the ball. Still, the problem here is not the freshman. IMO at times they played as effectively as some of the returners. The point guard position still looks like a 50/50 proposition, but Lai seemed to be more active today. Definitely a work in progress of the sorts Marist fans haven't seen in long, long time.

Nomar, you hit it right on the head when you said Delaware & Northeastern are not good teams, which clearly has me worried. Allowing 58 pts today is the only positive. Offensively, we were terrible. It seemed at times that we were playing with a 10 sec shot clock, which didn't force NE to play any defense & lastly, we couldn't hit a bull in the ass with a fly swatter as it was backing up to us.

We got some really really good teams coming up... St. Johns Baylor Stetson (they are very very good) S.Dakota St is also very very very good... It will be interesting to see how our girls respond to this. They can not get discouraged during the OOC part of season because it will not look great in the record books

The same thing happened last year we went 0-3 with a 24 point loss to Princeton in the 3rd game the went out to OHIO and Beat Bowling Green by 14 who won over 30 games and almost beat Ohio State and beat Old Dominion in OT with Lai and Kat starting and Casey and Tori injured. Again VanHorn's 17 minutes was a waste. Gomez is a drag on the team. Lai played the point last year and did a really good job in the OOC before Casey came back. Some how they have to find 30 minutes or more for Birchmere. I think it will be a different team on Monday night.

Currently 2-1 with a win over Penn State at University Park. With the current available players 3-8/4-7 after SDSU on 12/21 with 1 or 2 of the wins coming in the OOC is where I see things. That being said given the dismal early returns from the rest of the league except Qpac, I don't see why Marist can't do some serious business in the MAAC despite how discombobulated they've looked.

If you can find a way to get Emma O'Connor and Leanne Ockenden suited up on Monday night like they were against Bowling Green, Ohio State and ODU, then I'll agree they will be a different team. They are who they are until Tori returns. I agree that it would be nice to reward Birchmeier for her efforts. I guess he sit Van Horn move Maddy to the shooting guard spot and put Payton in the power forward slot. She has shown the ability to rebound and isn't shy about hoisting up shots. Certainly provide a different look, but at the expense of all their front court depth. I don't know how happy a scene 4 guards and Baab would create.

Oldfox, Your somewhat right, However, I don't think we can shoot any worse. I hope not BigRed, I hope not. I agree with you there. The friendly confines of the McCann Center should help calm their nerves and make them feel better about themselves. It's really unique in the MAAC that they can come back to a big supportive crowd. Most other teams just don't get to experience that.

This year is much about developing the young players and gearing up for a great 2016. I do think for this team to have any shot in the MAAC tourney that Coffey will have to decide to take over.

I think you were to hard on Allie. I believe she will become a great benefit to this team. Her shooting was just part of the whole. Lets gie our support for a very tough OOC schedule.
